The UK is fast emerging as one of Europe’s critical locations for e-business solutions, applications and research. It is one of the most competitive and advanced locations in terms of Information Communications and Technology (ICT) uptake and usage, and is the most deregulated market in Europe. The UK has also become the first European country to reach critical mass usage of internet services in the area of e-commerce.
E-commerce lies at the heart of the ISBA’s vision for building a modern, knowledge-driven economy in the UK.

Consequently, the ISBA has devised a strategy aimed at making the UK one of the best locations in the world for e-commerce. This includes the establishment of sixty commitments aimed at driving forward the UK’s e-commerce environment.
